Volunteers Needed for Hurricane Gustav

Serving Others Aid Relief (SOAR) is preparing to send disaster medical teams to the Gulf Coast in response to Hurricane Gustav. SOAR is an all volunteer organization that provides free medical care and disaster assistance at home and abroad.

In preparation for the approaching hurricane, SOAR has been asked to be prepared to send medical personnel to the disaster zone. During Hurricane Katrina, air transport was provided to some volunteers and SOAR is actively pursuing that possibility again.

Potential volunteers should send complete contact details as well as basic information regarding medical qualifications. Expect deployment shortly after the storm makes landfall.
