  Disaster Services

SOAR responds to disasters within the United States and throughout the world. SOAR has disaster personnel who can rapidly respond to anywhere in the world. This team provides:

 Disaster Management Personnel

 Basic Communications Service

 Emergent Medical Care

 Damage Assessment

 Deliver Supplies Via Parachute

The disaster team is specially trained to respond to extremely remote areas and can even be delivered by parachute if needed, as team members are trained skydivers. In extreme situations, SOAR can deliver a person by parachute who is not a skydiver. This is done by using a tandem master to deliver the specialist while attached to a professional tandem skydiver.

Skydivers train to become airborne disaster team members. Rene Steinhauer is a primary instructor with the Airdrop Assist (AIA). AIA trains skydivers to parachute into remote areas of the world where most disaster teams are unable to access.

Can you survive for three days without assistance?
Can you survive the shaking?
Can you turn off utilities?
Can you find clean water?
Do you have a plan for survival?

Hurricane Katrina taught us all one very important less. We learned that the government would not be able to assist us for at least three days. We learned the cost of failure is injury or death. We learned we must be prepared to save ourselves.
